Mission

We are a charity dedicated to supporting those affected with childhood Interstitial and diffuse Lung Disease (chILD).ChILD is a group of rare lung diseases where in simple terms oxygen has trouble crossing over into the blood stream. ChILD sufferers have very complex care needs and latest figures show that there are approx. 100 children in the UK with chILD. It is a chronic illness and in some instances it is even life-limiting. As a charity we currently provide families affected by chILD with:- Emotional and practical support via our website, forum, email and telephone. - Published educational materials approved by medical experts and help distribute these to families across the UK. - Offer grants for these families who may need financial assistance for practical items of care. - Advocate research If you would like any more information on our projects or wish to find out more about our organisation, please visit our website or contact us.
