Additional Information

1 in 500 children will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 14. Although advances in treatments have improved survival rates, the treatments are often designed for adults and can damage children's growing bodies. Infact 60% of those who survive will suffer late-effects from the treatments used to save their lives. This effects can last a lifetime and can include; bone & organ problems, development issues, hearing loss and infertility to name a few. At Kidscan Children's Cancer Research we are dedicated to finding safe new treatments that don't cause unnecessary damage. Since 2015 we have funded over 60 research projects across the UK, solely dedicated to childhood cancer.
