Refined Giving is an environmental charity promoting and finding practical ways to realise embedded value in waste for public benefit.We work with individuals and organisations across the voluntary, public and private sector to shift the way we think about and use the current waste management system for maximised return on the largely unknown social, environmental and financial values of targeted end-of-life products and materials.We do this by providing green education, consultancy, logistical, recycling campaign and employment creation support.Our most developed venture is the recycling of scrap cars though our "Gift My Car" scheme. The public are invited to donate the proceeds from the disposal of their car to the charity of their choice.When disposing of the vehicle we make every effort to realise the maximum value we can. We don't just recycle every donated car, we assess each car individually, if we think the maximum benefit can be gained by having the car repaired and MOT'd, then that is what we do. In the past we have found this approach can more than double the donation we can achieve by just selling an unrepaired car at auction.
