Mission

In a world of time pressures and distractions, many of England and Wales’ 180,000 charities can be left isolated and with limited support. Naturally a charity, cause or organisation will gain support from those who have been affected by its subject, and the potential to reach out to gain awareness with the community is a huge challenge. In 2007, The Charity Dreamgirls & Friends established a new organisation – believed to be the first of its structure that creates awareness and support from the community for selected charities and trusts each year. In 5 years to date, the entirely voluntary community organisation has made a real difference by: Created over 50 unique events Established media coverage for the charities worth over £1m Raised awareness of the selected charities and created over 3million media/social media impacts/views Built a community enterprise with no funding or external support, that raises every single penny to put on each and every event. Has enlisted the support of over 20 household names to assist the charities Worked with and provided awareness and a new group of supporters for 11 charities The Charity Dreamgirls has also achieved additional benefits that were not realised at the outset: - Members of the Charity Dreamgirls & Friends have gained a wealth of experience in previously unknown fields to them – such as Event organisation, marketing, music, fund-raising – and even encouraged to ‘get sporty’ at our active events. The enthusiasm the team portrays at events is infectious and encourages many more of the general public to get involved with the organization and the supported charities. It generates ‘if you can do it, I can do it attitude’. Praised by celebrities, communities, politicians and the charities involved, the Charity Dreamgirls & Friends grows from strength to strength – and is a great example of how sometimes what feels impossible can become possible.

The Charity Dreamgirls represent 2-3 selected charities each year from an array of different industries. The Dreamgirls core goal is to raise awareness for smaller, lesser known charities who would not otherwise be heard.
