To mobilize resources through relevant programs to empower cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and those affected through partnerships and engagement.
Kisumu City Cancer Organization (KCCO) was established in 2016 as a result of challenges faced by cancer patients in treatment navigation, accessing care and support. Cancer patients and survivors had difficulty getting a forum to share their experiences and challenges in living with cancer. They were left alone to suffer from the anxiety and stigma associated with cancer. We offer psycho-social support, patient navigation and complementary therapy to patients and terminally ill. Membership is open to patients, care givers and the affected. We create awareness on cancer, promote food security, nutrition and end of life care to survivors, caregivers and the terminally ill in partnership with Kisumu Hospice, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) and Blue Ridge Cancer Center
