With more than ten years experience in the tourism industry, most of it in North America working for VisitBritain and Visit Wales, Alexandra is an expert in Marketing and Media Relations and has an outstanding reputation for hard work and commitment. Here’s some of what she offers her current clients:Marketing: Alexandra has experience in rolling out marketing campaigns through traditional and new media methods. Her extensive contact-list enables successful partnerships with lifestyle companies who provide additional marketing funds, products for competitions, exposure on their websites/e-newsletters and can help validate a client’s brand in the eyes of the consumer. She has worked extensively with airlines and also lifestyle partners such as Sierra Designs, Vango, Molton Brown, Dewars whisky and Neal’s Yard. A strong believer in social media, Alexandra set up the Visit Wales Facebook page in North America, which now has over 120,000 ‘fans,’ and has increased web-traffic by over 50%. By providing clients with social media training and ongoing support, Alexandra helps clients achieve maximum exposure for new content and new campaigns. Alexandra keeps abreast of all the latest applications and tools, passing on these insights to clients.Media Relations: Alexandra has worked in PR for the last six years. Whilst handling the PR for Visit Wales, she increased media coverage by two thirds to a total of $6.4 million (ad value) in print coverage and $26.3 million (ad value) for TV coverage in one year. Her experience with new media marketing and US experience give a distinct advantage.Travel Trade representations: Alexandra has extensive experience with Tour Operators, encouraging them to include clients in their tours and/or product offering. She has contacts in the US, Canada and UK. These include major tour operators and many smaller, bespoke and specialist operators.

Manager, North America VisitBritain/ Visit Wales   August 2007 – December 2009 (2 years 5 months) • Management of North American office including all on-territory marketing campaigns for US and Canada, CRM program & databases for consumer, trade and PR• Creation and management of both US and Canadian website and worldwide Visit Wales Facebook page www.facebook.com/visitwales enticing over 90,000 fans• Worked closely with US and Canadian tour operators assisting them with new packages to Wales.
