Job Description – Social Media Officer Responsible to: Kanika Selvan(Director and Project Manager of Parallel Roads)Salary: Voluntary PositionExpenses paid for all travel requiredHours: 3-6 per weekDepends on stage of personal projects Annual Leave: n/an/aBased: Satellite WorkingWorking and communicating through email, Skype and occasional meetingFixed Term: 3-5 monthsFlexible depending on volunteer requirements  Main Aims of the PostResponsible for the development and maintenance of PR Facebook/ twitter and/or photographic social media outcomes.  Main duties1. Producing and building followers for PR on their FB/TW/Flicker pages2. To recruit and network with other experts working to create connection and build a strong profile3. The develop a voice and followers within this arena of social media4. To submit and maintain PR related information onto the assigned site5. To represent the ethos of PR and be part of a larger discourse about our mission through these sites.  General Work Related Expectations1. To work within Parallel Roads company, Ethos and Vision.2. To contribute to the development of PR3. To work in accordance with all Policies and Procedures of PR4. To identify and attend training as required5. To undertake any other duties as required, appropriate to the post                Person Specification – Assistant Project Manager The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they meet all the following points. Employment Experience  -Experience or understanding of a professional working environment, use of email communication etiquette etc-Experience of building and maintaining a social media network Educational Background/Training  -With or without professional education this applicant would need to be able to demonstrate how they have developed and maintained social media websites Knowledge-An understanding of social business as a principle and the necessary social media outcomes that are necessary to support it Personal-The ability to manage their own time and meet deadlines-The ability to work flexibly and in a dynamic manner-The ability to be solutions focused-Able to work with a dynamic and changing team
